Dr. Delores  is a Bay Area native and radio 20-year veteran, Dr. Delores Thompson, shortly after high school landed a coveted position with Oakland’s very own Soul Beat entertainment television where she dominated programming and entertainment reporting. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, Delores began her 25 year long career in radio broadcast at 1230 KGFJ, and Stevie Wonder’s 102.3 KJLH-FM, where she was featured in “who’s who in Black LA” magazine and was dubbed “Southern California’s #1 Lady in the Mid-Day.”   Returning back to Bay Area in 2014 she piloted the inaugural online radio station KOSA at the Oakland School for the Arts, a broadcast department soon followed. Dr. Thompson, joined 102.9 KBLX in the summer of 2016 where she can heard weekends; she can also be seen as a regular pundit for TV One’s music series “Unsung.” In August 2019 Delores received a Honorary Doctorate Degree in Divinity from Next Dimension University, and most recently Dr. Thompson has been named Director of communications for the Oakland Branch of NAACP and Arts Pathway Director at Oakland School for the Arts.
