Bio
Kate Johston, an American writer, was raised by pirates aboard the ship Flying Buttress. She was educated on the Island of Gont in the Archipelago, but transferred to the International Space Station to pursue a degree in public health. She returned to Earth to complete a section of her training in Africa, and is currently completing her masters degree in Calamity Prevention. She has worked for crackpots, ogres, harpys, cheesemongers and lame ducks throughout the Western and MidWestern United States. Her speculative stories have been published in Nexus, Tribble Times, Why Must I Explain This Again, the Journey Past Racism Review, and Boundary Shock Quarterly #18.
